Chris Webster is the Founder of WEBSTER ENTERPRISES headquartered on The Plaza in downtown Santa Fe, the umbrella company and organization of his family’s personal and professional activities in the arts, real estate, equity ventures, and philanthropy. WEBSTER COLLECTION provides appraisal, authentication, procurement, and brokerage services for important works of art and collectibles to collectors, museums, and institutions worldwide as well as represents 27 renowned designers and their apparel and accessories in the fashion industry. WEBSTER ESTATES represents and advises buyers, sellers, and developers of upscale luxury residential, commercial, and resort properties in the most active urban and boutique markets throughout the Americas and Western Europe. WEBSTER VENTURES evaluates and pursues selective venture capital and private equity investment opportunities in diverse industries and fields and advises the companies selected.

WEBSTER COLLECTION
WEBSTER COLLECTION presents masterpieces of ancient and contemporary art, continuing to specialize in Fine Art (paintings, photographs, sculpture), Ethnographic Art (American Indian, pre-Columbian, tribal art), Collectibles (American/Spanish Colonial/Asian antiques), and Folk Art, Furniture (Knoll International), and through W Department – Apparel, Jewelry, and Accessories from nationally and internationally renowned artists and designers – by “Defining Excellence in Art” since inception in 1972. The introduction, promotion, and sale of the art of yesteryear, as well as today, are accomplished through various methods of exposure combined with communication and collaboration with colleagues, collectors, and authorities in both private and institutional environments. From those origins came the opportunity to establish a significant library focused on the indigenous peoples of the Americas and their history, culture, lifestyle, and art, and to set aside certain objects as a collection, The New World Collection, that today consists primarily of representative examples from Mexico, Peru, and the American Southwest, the initial locations of Spanish exploration during the Age of Discovery. WEBSTER COLLECTION constantly showcases an eclectic mix of art, artifacts, and apparel from its second-floor location on The Plaza, a space emulating an 18th Century Mexican Colonial-era hacienda, while periodically featuring extraordinary shows of contemporary artists’ works throughout the year.
WEBSTER ESTATES
WEBSTER ESTATES (originally Christopher Webster Real Estate), began its brokerage business in 1976 and continues to produce market-leading, often record-setting, residential, ranch, and commercial sales in the Santa Fe area market and elsewhere. An exclusive affiliate relationship was established with Sotheby’s International Realty (SIR) for the state of New Mexico in the early 1980s, and in North Carolina and Mexico as well in the mid to late 80s. Chris served on SIR’s Advisory Board from 1989 until 2004, assisting with the growth and development of this dynamic company in expanding the world’s premier real estate brand specializing in prestigious international property brokerage. Sotheby’s International Realty acknowledged Christopher Webster Real Estate as its Affiliate of the Year in 1994-95 and bought the company as its first acquisition of an affiliate company worldwide in 1998. In 2003, Chris became a Partner and Managing Director of Synthesis Realty Group (today WEBSTER CONSULTING) helping coordinate and direct the development, marketing, and sales of residential and resort communities considered among the most exclusive and elite in the world. In 2015, Chris acquired and became CEO and publisher of Leading Estates of the World (LeadingEstates.com), the preeminent publishing and media enterprise showcasing the world’s most extraordinary residential estate properties to an international audience since its inception in 1969.
WEBSTER VENTURES
WEBSTER VENTURES provides advisory consulting services to clients and oversees its investments in a portfolio of diverse companies. Chris was a Founder of Santa Fe Natural Tobacco Company in 1982 and from its inception until its sale to Reynolds Tobacco (RJR) in 2002, served as an Officer and Director for this dynamic and innovative company that produces Natural American Spirit cigarettes. Chris was also a Founder and Director of the Santa Fe Natural Tobacco Company Foundation which philanthropically supports important Native American and indigenous causes in the Western Hemisphere.
