American Clay produces the award-winning natural and green interior plaster, American Clay, and was recognized as Product of the Year by numerous construction industry organizations, including the American Home Builders Association. American Clay was founded in 2003 in Santa Fe, New Mexico and subsequently relocated to Albuquerque in 2004. WEBSTER VENTURES played significant roles, first as an early investor, and then as the source of introduction to the capital that allowed the founders to accomplish a management buyout and recapitalize the company. Chris Webster served as a Director for a brief period of time during the post-buyout transition until business and management became re-stabilized.
