WEBSTER ESTATES was founded in 1972 by Chris Webster upon his acquiring, remodeling, and developing, and then selling, a small ranch and nearby commercial building in Steamboat Springs in northwestern Colorado soon after graduating from college.  Later that year he relocated and established his business headquarters on the westside of The Plaza in historic downtown Santa Fe, New Mexico where it remains to this day.
