The River of Traps

The River of Traps was a finalist and ultimately a runner up for the Pulitzer Prize in 1991.  Written by William deBuys with photography by Alex Harris, the story focuses on village life in El Valle, New Mexico recounting aspects of Jacobo Romero’s life as a testament to human character and integrity within a small and relatively isolated rural community.
